South Jefferson Rescue Squad, Inc. recognizes the importance of identifying, conveying and recognizing core values of our organization. The ICARE Program has been established to help recognize our members and paid staff.


      The purpose of the ICARE program is to define the core values that South Jefferson Rescue Squad, Inc. will uphold and expect from all its members and paid staff. There will be a point system in order to remind and encourage our members and paid staff to adhere to these core values. After obtaining an ICARE pin the points our staff and members accrue will be redeemable for EMS gear on a monthly basis.

  • Compassion – sympathetic consciousness of others’
  •  Accountability – an obligation or willingness to accept responsibility or to       account for one’s actions
  • Respect – expressions of high or special regard
  • Empathy – the action of understanding the feelings, thoughts and experience of another
